This year’s Animelo Summer 2017 Live concert is having its 13th year at the Saitama Super Arena, and had three surprise guests at its first day of anime music revelry on Friday. Voice actresses Aya Hirano, Minori Chihara, and Yuko Goto reunited once again as the SOS Brigade from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya to perform the anime’s ending theme song “Hare Hare Yukai.” Of course, they also performed the corresponding dance on stage.
This was the first appearance of the SOS Brigade in 11 years. The Animelo Summer 2017 Live is being hosted over the weekend of August 25th.
The SOS Brigade conists of (from left to right) Minori Chihara (Yuki Nagato), Aya Hirano (Haruhi Suzumiya) and Yuuko Gotou (Mikuru Asahina). The three performed the song and dance of “Hare Hare Yukai” with the animation playing in the background while the crowd went wild.
Aya Hirano also mentions to the crowd that it has been 11 years since the three performed together at Animelo Summer Live.
