Goodbye Party, Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant!

It’s a tale as old as time: a jealous party leader banishes the popular and mighty adventurer. That adventurer decided to go back to his previous job as a chef. His cooking talents are as legendary as his sword skills. He saves a cute girl from slavery and opens his own restaurant for the banished. We’ll see how his new business venture pans out when Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! (Tsuihosha Shokudo e Yokoso!) premieres on July 3rd, 2025.

Yuki Kimikawa and Gaou released the original Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! light novel on June 25th, 2019. Overlap has since published three volumes in the Overlap Novels imprint.

The chef and two of his friends are as follows:

• Dennis — Shunsuke Takeuchi (Urogi from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). A banished adventurer with a kind heart. He enjoys cooking for other people.
• Atelier — Marika Tachibana (Yuna Ichihara from Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare). A former noblewoman who was sold into slavery.
• Katie — Chika Anzai (Misaki Aoba from The Idolmaster Million Live!). The Vice-Commander of the top-ranked Silver Wings Battalion. She is known as the “Crimson Blade Flash.”

OLM Team Yoshioka has maintained a home page, a YouTube channel, and a Twitter (X) page to promote Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant!. You can find additional series information and the Key Visuals there.

I Was Banished, So Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant!

Dennis received a special invitation to the top-class Silver Wings Battalion party. He supported the party both on and off the battlefield. Dennis’s real passion lies with cooking. He has legendary-tier cooking skills, and his friends enjoy his meals. His time in the party came to an end when the party leader framed him for a mission failure and suggested he might be a spy, all to push him out.

Dennis took his leave while Katie, the great swordswoman who first recruited him, fumed with anger. He took his savings and set out to open his own restaurant. Dennis also saved a poor slave girl from a depraved merchant and used what was left to achieve his dream. His new, cute regular customers come by to fill their stomachs and get help with their problems.
