So, it’s with great joy that I’m telling you that Gals Can’t Be Kind to Otaku!? will premiere on April 8! To hype the release of the upcoming otaku x gyaru rom-com, the anime’s production company released a new trailer and visual. K-pop unit I-dle will perform the show’s opening song, “Hide and Seek.” sunsoogirl will handle the anime’s ending song, “Isshou Nakako.”

Otaku ni Yasashii Gal wa Inai!? Deets!
Norishiro-chan (author) and Sakana Uozumi (illustrator) began Gals Can’t Be Kind to Otaku!? in August 2021. Coamix’s Monthly Comic Zenon serializes the manga and has compiled it into eleven tankoubon volumes. Publishers will release the twelfth volume in Japan on March 19.
Yen Press publishes the English version of the manga. TMS Entertainment (Fruits Basket Remake) is animating the anime adaptation. Arata Mita will direct the series, with Kazuhiko Inukai handling the series composition. Lion Matsuda serves as the character designer and chief animation director.

Can you imagine being ashamed of the anime you like? I can’t. Fret not, though. Takuya Seo can tell us about it. Takuya-kun is what the normies would call a “filthy loner.” Despite having two bishoujo gyarus sitting by him, the closeted-weeb keeps to himself and fawns over the “girly” anime he likes. But when an eraser leads to one of his neighboring gyarus exposing herself as a fellow otaku, an interesting friendship follows.
