Pony Cannon announced that Yuudai Debata’s Futari Solo Camp (Solo Camping for Two) will receive an anime adaptation this summer! So prepare your heart for a series that eloquently shows how healing nature can be, and brace your wallet for the cost of Gregory Mountain Products and MSR gear.
Healing Through Nature with Futari Solo Camp
Futari Solo Camp follows Gen Kinokura — who lives and breathes nature and the outdoors — and presents camping more maturely. From an early age, Gen accompanied his dad into the wild. When his father passed away, Gen’s outdoor outings offered him a way to connect and remember his deceased father. And as time passed the outdoors became a refuge for the socially awkward Gen. But when he finds a mysterious (and hot) girl changing in his campsite, his solo camping days are thrown into a blender. Lost and worried that Gen won’t offer her his assistance, Shizuku blackmails Gen into letting her camp with him. While reluctant at first, he realizes that in a ‘he said, she said’ scenario most people would believe her, so he begrudgingly welcomes her. Despite their less-than-ideal meeting the two quickly become one of the oddest and closest ‘solo camping’ duos.
Production Details
SynergySp will animate the Pony Cannon-produced adaptation. The show is scheduled for a summer 2025 release. Pony Cannon released the trailer, promo visual, and details on the voice and production cast on January 1. Additionally, they have launched an official website for Futari Solo Camp. Since October 2018, Evening Magazine has serialized Futari Solo Camp. Currently, Kodansha has published 19 volumes of the manga. Daiki Hamano (I Parry Everything) will voice Gen Kinokura. Rookie VA Mizuki Niizaki will debut as Shizuku Kusano. Production cast includes:
