Nowadays, it’s hard to argue with the fact that Crunchyroll and Funimation are the two biggest names in anime streaming and localization. Even with major companies like Netflix and Amazon trying to get their foot in the door of the anime industry with streaming releases and production partnerships, if you ask anyone where to watch an anime legally, they’ll most likely point you toward either of those first two services. Funimation has grown massively in recent years after being purchased by Sony, allowing the anime company to pursue bigger and better partnerships and expand the brand. Part of that mission has involved teaming up with companies who own anime rights outside of Japan to stream those series on Funimation’s online services. The latest of these co-operative efforts will see 19 beloved anime series owned by NIS America come to the Funimation catalog.

Of the 19 NIS America series coming to the Funimation catalog, five of them will be launching this week. Two of these series, Toradora! and Card Captor Sakura, are absolute classics. The other three releases are just as memorable though. Season two of Love Live! School idol project and Love Live! The School Idol Movie will be streaming on Funimation as well, alongside Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea.
