Flower and Asura Blooms On-Air

Otaku looking for an easy-going anime series are in the right place. A high school broadcasting club has found its newest speaker. This girl loves reading to people and can bring her stories to life. The club members have experienced her enchanting reading skills first-hand, and they had to recruit her. We’ll see how her audience grows when Flower and Asura (Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku) premieres on January 7th, 2025.

Ayano Takeda and Musshu released the original Flower and Asura on June 18th, 2021. Shueisha has since published seven volumes in Ultra Jump.

The great reader and two of her new broadcaster friends are as follows:

Hana Haruyama — Minori Fujidera (Fuyuri-chan from Love Live! Superstar!!). A girl with a naturally pure voice that draws people in. She enjoys reading to children on the island.
Mizuki Usurai — Miyuri Shimabukuro (Kiku Kamishirakawa from Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS). The broadcasting club’s cheerful leader. She invited Hana to join.
Ryoko Totonoi — Kiyono Yasuno (Nejire Hado from My Hero Academia). The broadcasting club’s kind and helpful second-in-command.

Flower and Asura Takes to the Airwaves

Hana Haruyama lives on the small island of Tonakijima. The famed reader Shura Saionji inspired her to speak aloud and tell tales to whoever would listen. When she entered junior high school, Hana began working as a P.A. She doesn’t have much faith in her speaking skills. But the teachers and the island’s children love to listen to her. A new voice reached out to her when she graduated and started high school.

Mizuki Usurai’s visit to Tonakijima led her to one of Hana’s public readings. She immediately invited Hana to join her club after she entered Sumomogaoka High School. But Hana had to deny her because she would miss the ferry between her island and the mainland if she stayed for club activities. Mizuki’s persistence begins to win Hana over, especially as Hana starts sharing what she truly wants.
