There never seems to be any shortage of new and upcoming material to dive into when it comes to the widespread Fate franchise. What started as a humble little visual novel named Fate/Stay Night has snowballed into one of the largest multi-media franchises in Japan. The action-packed television anime Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front – Babylonia just finished airing back in March, and the final entry in the Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel movie trilogy is set to debut in Japan in just a couple of weeks. There’s even new video game news for the franchise in the form of the recently announced remake of Fate/EXTRA from Type-Moon Studio BB. Now, we know of one more exciting Fate project arriving soon. The highly anticipated first entry in the Fate/Grand Order film series, delayed from it’s initial August 15th opening, is now slated to release on December 5th.
Fate/Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot (Fate/Grand Order Shinsei Entaku Ryōiki Camelot) was originally supposed to hit Japanese theaters on August 15th, the date that Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel III has now been pushed back to after that film was also delayed. Now, though, it’s confirmed that the Camelot film will be arriving on December 5th, and the “Fate/Grand Order Chaldea Broadcasting Station 5th Anniversary Special” will provide more details on August 10th. The film hitting theaters this year is sub-titled Wandering: Agateram, with the second half titled Paladin: Agateram arriving at a later date. Both films adapt the “Dai Roku Tokuiten Shinsei Entaku Ryōiki: Camelot” (Order VI: The Sacred Round Table Realm: Camelot) chapter from the original mobile game.
