The oblivious harem hero surrounded by magical and divine girls returns! Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Daro ka / DanMachi) Season 5 will premiere sometime in Fall 2024. This new season will adapt Volumes 16, 17, and 18 of the Light Novels. Let’s see how Bell’s date comes about in the latest trailer.
DanMachi first entered a dungeon as a light novel series written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda on January 15th, 2013. SB Creative has published nineteen volumes in the GA Bunko imprint so far.
Our harem protagonist and a couple of the cute girls around him are as follows:
- Bell Cranel — Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Inosuke Hashibira from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). Bell is Hestia Familia’s first member. He devotes his life to Hestia and protecting the innocent.
- Hestia — Inori Minase (Itsuki Nakano from The Quintessential Quintuplets). Hestia is the goddess of the hearth. Though she looks weak, her powers can cover all of Orario. She is one of the girls who has fallen for Bell.
- Syr Flova — Shizuka Ishigami (Laufen from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End). Syr is a waitress at the Hostess of Fertility. She has fun teasing Bell every now and then. Syr has decided to stop hiding her true feelings for him.
- Freya — Yoko Hikasa (Weiss Schnee from RWBY: Ice Queendom). Freya is a goddess of many things, from love to war. She is the head of the renowned Freya Familia. Freya’s love for Bell could be considered obsessive.

DanMachi Has a Different Sort of Battle at a Festival
Bell has dreamed of becoming a great adventurer in Orario. A labyrinth dubbed “The Dungeon” exists at the center of this place. Endless streams of terrifying monsters exist inside, and only the bravest may attempt to challenge them. Even the gods and goddesses sought excitement from such a place, so they descended to Earth while sealing away their divine power. They formed Familias to grant their followers some of their power.
Hestia was one such goddess who sought excitement in Orario. Unfortunately, no one would join her Familia. She eventually ran into Bell, a newbie adventurer who could not enter a Familia. Thus, the two bonded, and the Hestia Familia finally took shape. Though he planned to explore the labyrinth, he accidentally began to pick up girls. There’s nothing wrong with that.
After many battles, Bell’s true match begins at the Goddess Festival. Syr, a waitress working for the Freya Familia, invites Bell on a date. This single act will involve many more people than simply Bell and Syr.
