Another isekai anime is coming this Summer. Dahlia in Bloom (Madougushi Dahliya wa Utsumukanai) tells the story of a woman from Japan who overworks herself to death and uses her new life in another world to do the same exact job. Raiding dungeons and fighting dragons, an engineer doesn’t need these things. We’ll see how our newly reincarnated does when her anime series premieres in July. Let’s enjoy the new trailer until then.
Hisaya Amagishi posted the original Dahlia in Bloom novel on the user-generated website Shosetsuka ni Naro on April 1st, 2018. Media Factory obtained the publishing rights and hired the artist Kei to adapt the series to a light novel format. This new run began on October 25th, 2018, with nine volumes currently published in the MF Books imprint.
Our cute inventor and her new love interest are as follows:
- Dahlia Rossetti — Saori Onishi (Yuki Sumi in Oshi no Ko). She was a woman with an unfortunate life in Japan and died well before her time. She is reborn in a world of magic and pursues her former love of manufacturing with her artisan father.
- Volfred Scalfarotto — Atsushi Tamaru (Talken from Sword Art Online). A knight Dahlia met after a mission. Dahlia is immune to his cursed good looks, which helps them become closer.
Zero-G has maintained a home page and a Twitter (X) page to promote Dahlia in Bloom. You can find additional series information and the Key Visuals there.
Dahlia in Bloom Finds Freedom in Another World
A Japanese woman worked hard her entire life to get a job she loved in electronics manufacturing. She loved her job and was good at it. However, things changed, and her life spiraled downward after she was sent to work in customer service. The woman worked herself too hard and suffered a heart attack. It is then fortunate that her story didn’t end so pitifully. She was reborn in a new world as the daughter of a magical artisan.
Dahlia was born to Baron Carlo Rossetti, a man known for his prowess in creating magical tools. Dahlia, whose previous life was dedicated to making beneficial tools, immediately took to her father’s profession. Things wouldn’t stay so idyllic for long. Dahlia’s father arranged for her to marry his apprentice, Tobias. He controlled and manipulated her for a while until he dumped her for another that he could completely control. He’s out of the picture, and now our flower can fully bloom and live as she sees fit.
