We seriously need more female thieves in form-fitting catsuits. Thankfully, the Kisugi sisters have appeared to fill the empty void. These girls pull double duty, stealing their father’s artwork from museums while running their own café. Matters grow complicated when one of the sisters dates a detective who’s trying to arrest them. We’ll see how their daring capers go when Cat’s Eye premieres on September 26th, 2025.
Tsukasa Hojo released the original Cat’s Eye manga series from September 14th, 1981, to January 22nd, 1985. Shueisha published all eighteen volumes in Weekly Shonen Jump. Tokyo Movie Shinsha’s original anime adaptation premiered on July 11th, 1983. The Kisugi sisters had recently met another famous thief after Lupin the 3rd vs. Cat’s Eye premiered on January 27th, 2023.
Cat’s Eye Cast
The three infamous Kisugi sisters are as follows:

- Hitomi Kisugi — Mikako Komatsu (Yutaka Shinozaki from My Tiny Senpai). The second Kisugi daughter. She is currently dating the detective who has sworn to arrest her. Her talents made her the team leader.
- Rui Kisugi — Ami Koshimizu (Yang Xiao Long from RWBY: Ice Queendom). The eldest Kisugi daughter. She plans the team’s every heist. Rui takes on a maternal role for her sisters.
- Ai Kisugi — Yumiri Hanamori (Hinaki Ubuyashiki from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). The youngest Kisugi daughter. She is the team’s tech specialist.
Liden Films has maintained a home page and a Twitter (X) page to promote Cat’s Eye. You can find more series information and the Key Visuals there.

No Painting Escapes the Cat’s Eye
A team of three thieves has long frustrated the police. They give advance warnings and leave calling cards whenever they steal precious artworks. It’s almost as if one of the thieves was dating a very talkative detective. Hitomi, Rui, and Ai Kisugi risk it all to steal paintings and precious jewels. It’s not for personal profit; instead, their father, the renowned art collector Michael Heinz, once owned each of the treasures.

These girls run the Cat’s Eye café, which just so happens to be the same name as their thief group. Hitomi’s detective boyfriend isn’t very sharp. Their shared goal is to steal as much of their father’s former collection to find him. He mysteriously vanished before Hitomi and Ai could ever form memories of him. Their mission — and Hitomi’s romance with her high school love — will undoubtedly uncover many secrets and expose long-hidden feelings.
