Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda, the rhythm roguelike spin-off of the Zelda series, is currently free to download and try for Nintendo Switch Online members until May 7th. Yes, that’s the full title. This deal includes the entire game, too. While it obviously meant to capitalize on the massive hype for Tears of the Kingdom, I have been intensely interested in trying Cadence of Hyrule. The soundtrack is incredible, and all the gameplay I saw looks fun.
On top of the free trial, Cadence of Hyrule DLC expansion is currently 50% off on the North American eShop, making the main game USD$12.49 and the bundle with the DLC included just under USD$20. Sales are typically pretty rare for Nintendo titles, so one this big on top of a free trial is a big deal. Now’s the perfect time to try it if you’ve ever been curious. And with a whole week of playtime available, you may even be able to finish the entirety of Cadence of Hyrule for free. With Tears of the Kingdom launching in less than two weeks, Nintendo is putting the pedal to the floor with Zelda promotions, crossovers, and marketing.
If you love the Zelda series music as much as I do, I highly recommend the 30th Anniversary Music Collection. So many lovely tracks and beautiful art from most iterations of the series!
