Back in October, we reported on a new multimedia project that involved a new anime from the beloved studio SHAFT. At the time, we were able to reveal initial details for Assault Lily Bouquet, including the story and cast. Today, however, we have much more! Today, we have the first promotional video and premiere season! Excited yet?
As you saw in the Assault Lily Bouquet promotional video, the series is set to premiere in July 2020, which means it will be a boiling hot summer season to look forward to. As previously reported, the director for this project will be Shouji Saeki and character designs are being provided by Mieko Hosoi. Other crew members who were recently announced include Keita Nagahara as assistant director, Kazuya Shiotsuki as a sub-character designer and chief animation director, alongside Sota Suwa. Akito Matsuda will compose the background music while RAISE A SUILEN will provide the series’ opening theme song.
For the cast, the voices will be provided by the same actors who will portray the characters in the stage play adaptation, which will run in Tokyo from January 9th to 15th, 2020.

The story takes place on an alternate near-future Earth, which is being overrun by creatures known as “Huge.” The only ones who can defend humanity against these creatures are teenage girls known as “Lillies” who are capable of synergizing with weapons called “CHARM.” They set special schools up all around the world to train aspiring Lillies to fight the Huge. This series will share the stories of one such group of girls in one of these schools.
