The legendary Aquarion mythos begins a new chapter. Officials select individuals and bring them to a specialty school on an isolated island. They’re trained to become a new unit of soldiers to fight a new threat to humanity’s future. These students are younger than their predecessors and are cute. They’re moe. We’ll see how they fare on the battlefield when Aquarion Myth of Emotions premieres sometime in January 2025.
Shoji Kawamori created the fourth Aquarion series for Satelight.
Three of the new mecha pilots are as follows:
- Sakko Otori — Yumiri Hanamori (Hinaki Ubuyashiki from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). The brash delinquent of the class. He is braver and more caring than people think.
- Momohime Amaha — Azumi Waki (Steyr AUG from Girls’ Frontline). The popular girl of the class. She has a strong sense of justice.
- Sayo Ichiki — Konomi Kohara (Arona from Blue Archive the Animation). A kind-hearted girl with low self-esteem.
Satelight has maintained a home page and a Twitter (X) page to promote Aquarion Myth of Emotions. You can find additional series information and the key visuals there. The legendary mecha rises again.
A New Battle Dawns in Aquarion Myth of Emotions
Enoshima Academy sits on Enoshima Island in the Shonan Sea. It invites gifted students from around the country to provide them with elite training with the most advanced technology available. The school sends Sakko Otori, Momohime Amaha, Rimiya Tsukishiro, Toshi Hatano, and Sayo Ichiki to the elite reinforcement class, “Elements.”
Three students must pilot the “Vector Machine,” a fighter plane powered by emotion. They target the “Mythical Beasts,” a mysterious weapon directed at humanity. Sakko receives a vision during battle and forms Aquarion, humanity’s last hope for survival.
