The popular mobile gacha RPG Another Eden is back at it again with another Persona crossover, this time with Persona 5 Royal. Like Another Eden’s original collab with Persona 5 last year, another teaser trailer has been released in anticipation of the content update.

This chapter, titled “Bound Wills and the Hollow Puppeteer: Promises, Vows, and Rings” follows the journey of the Phantom Thieves along with our hero Aldo and his time-hopping companions as they assist a couple whose nuptials seem to be in jeopardy thanks to a ghostly bride.
Taking the main stage as protagonists for this chapter are Phantom Thieves members Violet and Skull. True to form, they’ll join your party after the end of the chapter and can be used outside of the crossover in-game, much like Joker and Morgana were during the first chapter.
While more details about the crossover are still forthcoming, it is known that the chapter won’t be available for global release until November. The Japan release, meanwhile, will be sometime this week, which shouldn’t leave global fans too far behind.
With Part 2 of the crossover almost being a given, considering the success of Persona 5 Royal, it stands to reason more crossover chapters might be in the works eventually. Since the nature of gacha games means having a large pool of characters to draw from at any given time, it would be feasible that more of the Phantom Thieves would be made available in the future. Then, a player could have a party made up of a good chunk of the Persona 5 cast, and Aldo and friend’s adventures would instead be a Persona 5 spinoff of sorts. Aldo and friends would still show up during certain main game cutscenes, of course.
If you haven’t picked up Another Eden or Persona 5/Royal, you may want to start, if only to get an idea of the general plot and not to be blindsided by potential spoilers that might come up during crossover gameplay. You’ll have more than enough time, as unlike other gacha games, Another Eden’s events aren’t time-sensitive and can be played at any time as long as you’ve passed the required chapter in the main game. Though, on the other hand, Another Eden is a gacha game with a daunting amount of content, and the main story hasn’t even been completed yet. Whichever one you choose to get into first, it’s sure to steal your heart.
