We’re big fans of rolling dice in anime-inspired worlds, like with the new KonoSuba TRPG or the Lupin III TTRPG. Now, there’s a new way to enjoy your Dungeons & Dragons dice rolling, with Anime 5e, an anime take on the popular fifth edition rules.
It’s The Pickle and Daweeb Show, where we roll up a character, dress her in tights, then go fight anime-inspired dragons.
Play Anime-Inspired Adventures with Anime 5e
5th edition Dungeons & Dragons has another anime-inspired ruleset, this time from Japanime Games and Dyskami Publishing. The game, Anime 5e, is written by Mark MacKinnon, the creator of Big Eyes, Small Mouth. Notably, the game adds a point-based system to the standard 5e system. Although built on the 5e ruleset, those rules are not required to use this stand-alone product, which is excellent news for anime fans who want to dabble, without having to fork over truckloads of cash for more books.
The game is already available digitally, while print copies are expected to reach stores on May 4th.
The Art of Rokugan
Legend of the Five Rings — the East-Asian-inspired property that includes the collectible card game and roleplaying games of the same name — is getting an art book. Rokugan: The Art of Legend of the Five Rings will feature the best artwork from the game’s published games, drawn from nearly three decades of the game.
