Rise grew up listening to her grandmother read Lewis Carroll’s novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. She finds an invitation from her grandmother just when her life is spiraling out of control. That invitation leads her directly to Alice’s mad world, where she meets the titular character in person. We’ll see how her own adventures unfold when Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland- (With Alice in Wonderland -Dive in Wonderland-) premieres on August 29th, 2025.
Toshiya Shinohara and Yuko Kakihara directed and wrote this movie for P.A. Works. Lewis Carroll released the original Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland novel in November 1865.
The new isekai protagonist, the classic isekai protagonist, and the famous queen are as follows:
- Rise Azumino — Nanoka Hara (Suzume Iwato from Suzume no Tojimari). A university student who feels lost in life.
- Alice — Maika Pugh (Thrombocyte Platelet from Cells at Work!). A curious girl from Victorian England.
- Queen of Hearts — Mayu Matsuoka (Kimia from Pokémon Movie 19: Volcanion to Karakuri no Magearna). The strict queen of Wonderland. She grows tired of an unchanging everyday life.

Escape a Difficult Life in Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland-
Rise Azumino grew up listening to Lewis Carroll’s famous novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Her grandmother, Fumiko, loved Carroll’s world and built a theme park around it. Rise’s life wasn’t as magical as Alice’s as she grew older. It seems as though no matter what she does, things don’t go her way. An invitation from her late grandmother led her to pick up Alice’s old book.
Rise tumbles down her own rabbit hole into the fabled Wonderland. She then meets the actual Alice just as her adventures begin. Characters like the White Rabbit and the Mad Hatter appear before her one after another. Things in Wonderland were already hectic before Rise arrived. The Queen of Hearts and her knights have a few words for the two travelers.
