Hifumi Asakura and Yamakawa released the original The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World light novel on May 10th, 2018. SB Creative has published three volumes in the Tugikuru Books imprint.

Kenichi Hamada is a 38-year-old single freelance artist who left Tokyo for a quieter life in the countryside. He continued working on freelance art projects for keyframes and video game visuals. But Kenichi enjoyed his new farming job even more. This idyllic life unexpectedly ended when Kenichi found himself in a forest he had never seen before.
Kenichi wondered if he had traveled to a parallel world and jokingly attempted to open a status window. It worked, but he felt dismayed at the lack of RPG mechanics. His isekai cheat skill allows him to access an online shopping network to buy items, such as food and tools. Kenichi can also sell items from this other world for a tidy profit. He’ll begin a new life in this new place and maybe get close to a cute inn employee.
