9-nine- Ruler's Crown Fights Otherworldly Threats

A sacred artifact shattered and released threats from beyond our world when the sleepy college town of Shiromitsugawa was rocked by an earthquake. Strange “artifacts” appeared and granted people special abilities. Not everyone took their new power as a symbol of responsibility. We’ll see what becomes of this town and the people who live there when 9-nine- Ruler’s Crown premieres sometime in July this year.

Palette released the original 9-nine- visual novel on April 28th, 2017. It was released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

Three of the magical heroes are as follows:

Kakeru Niimi — Atsushi Abe (Toma Kamijo from A Certain Magical Index). A curt young man with a strong sense of justice and responsibility.
Miyako Kujo — Misato Fukuen (Himiko Toga from My Hero Academia). A lovely young lady with a wealthy upbringing. She disregards her own safety to catch serial killers.
Noa Yuki — Akane Fujita (Senko from Senran Kagura: Shinovi Master). A student from Kukata Girls’ Academy. She founded the Valhalla Society to tackle magic-related crimes.

The Otherworldly Artifacts of 9-nine- Ruler’s Crown

Shiromitsugawa is a sleepy college town that has tried several times to drum up tourism. Each attempt failed for various reasons, and the boring atmosphere continued. They worked on an anime that documented the local folklore, but it was poorly received. Now, local folklore came alive after an earthquake. The sacred treasure in the Hakuda Tsukumo Shrine shattered and opened the floodgates for “artifacts” from a parallel world to arrive in Shiromitsugawa and grant magical gifts to certain individuals.

Kakeru Niimi is a blunt yet kind and responsible young man from Hakusen High School. He is one of the special individuals who gains an “artifact” and magical gifts. He joins Miyako Kujo to hunt down a serial killer who uses his “artifact” to petrify his victims. Kakeru’s mysterious “artifact” and the living plush doll hold the answers.
