Gojou and Marin are cosplaying unicorns in My Dress-Up Darling. A unicorn is a mythical beast that rarely appears and only allows virgins to ride it. There’s no mounting and riding here yet, but the main characters’ incredible cosplaying attributes rarely manifest in first-time hobbyists. Marin is beautiful, an otaku who appreciates intricate lore. And she honors the spirit of the characters she wants to portray. Sajuna can’t handle meeting her for the first time.
Similarly, Gojou respects the setting and period that the characters come from. Those things affect the fabric choices for the costumes he would make. Uh oh. Marin realized she was on a date with the guy she “wuvs.” There’s the episode title for My Dress-Up Darling! Has Marin told her friends about her crush on Gojou yet? Does her gang of gals even talk about boys? Hahaha! Keyboard smash subtitles! Marin’s tummy is not her best friend. It’s usually interrupting her flow.

The tall girl with Sajuna in the opening credits is the younger sister. Not the little sister! The younger one. That’s like Tatsumaki and Fubuki from One Punch Man.
Called it! Shinju is in junior high, shy, and has generous proportions. She’s taller than Marin. And most likely bigger too. Next time, photoshoot training from Shinju-chan.
