Today is the 15th anniversary of the release of the hard-hitting BL visual novel Togainu no Chi by Nitroplus. We’re celebrating the only way we know how: by releasing the English version, Togainu no Chi – Lost Blood, for instant digital download from JAST USA, and also on Steam!
What is Togainu no Chi – Lost Blood?
It’s the first game released on the famous Nitro+Chiral line of BL games, being originally released in 2005, although the version we’re releasing has been updated with a totally new game engine and gorgeous high-res graphics. An extremely popular game, Togainu no Chi received has been one of the highlights of the Nitro+Chiral brand, being remade for several game platforms and receiving an anime release.
The game follows Akira, a man living in post-World War III Japan, accused of a murder he didn’t commit. There’s just one way for him to get his freedom: to join a high-stakes fighting competition known as the Igra Competition. The story follows Akira’s struggle to defeat the various enemies he encounters and rise to the top of the competition, where he can defeat the king, named Il Re. It’s a dark and beautiful world filled with many challenges and great characters, and is now BL available to fans across the English-speaking world.
The game is being released via digital download through JAST USA, with no mosaic censorship or other game content removed, so fans can enjoy it in its best possible form. The game is also available via Steam, and there‘s also a DLC patch to add back the adult content that’s not present in the Steam version. This version of the game has a totally revised and modern game engine, and high-resolution graphics re-painted from the originals.
The game has also gone “Golden Master” meaning that the DVD-ROM masters have been completed, and sent off to the duplicators. You can preorder the package version now, which is a high-quality Limited Edition that includes the game soundtrack, a 42-page artbook and a Steam key.
