Every year J-List holds an art contest called Megumi in my Style, in which we challenge all the great artists who follow J-List and love the products we sell to draw our mascot in their own unique style. This year’s Megumi art contest is going on now, and since it ends on March 31st we wanted to make this post and remind everyone to get their entries in ASAP! As you can read on the official Megumi introduction page, J-List’s mascot is named Megumi Haruna, and she was born October 1st, 1996, the same day we founded J-List, here in Gunma Prefecture, the land of Initial D and Nichijou. All orders from J-List are hand-packed lovingly by Megumi herself. No, really!
It’s great to see the fun and interesting designs for Megumi that all the great artists come up with, and we never fail to smile when we see some cool new version of Megumi that they create for the contest. Some are technically gorgeous, others are incredibly creative and stylized, and all are great fun. Scroll down to see some of the past entries we’ve enjoyed!
