Natsume, Lilith’s fellow maid, wants to know why the suspicious maid won’t come back to her.
Episode 9 – “Complicated, Convoluted, Perplexing, Honest Feelings”
Hmm.
Natsume became the twin-tailed tsundere voice for the audience in the ninth episode of The Maid I Hired Recently is Mysterious. She asked the questions we needed answers for! How can that child keep saying all those embarrassing things? Where is the money coming from? It’s not from Yuuri’s piggy bank. Who pays for Yuuri’s allowance? Help Natsume help us understand the financial situation! At least Natsume understood that Lilith cares about Yuuri and told that to Lilith’s face. Tsukasa already comedically remarked that Yuuri “flirts with his maid, and it looks like she enjoys it.” The blatant lovey-dovey banter between maid and master is even more palpable for an observer inside the mansion.
I’m slightly disappointed that Natsume’s introduction to The Mysterious Maid did not offer a path to explore Lilith’s past inside the Yuuri mansion. Natsume met Lilith at school, so I presume she also knew Fujisaki back then. We may get some laughs comparing the maids and the butler’s current friendship to their younger selves. Still, adding a volatile, shark-toothed, twin-tailed tsundere to the cast will raise the show’s energy.
Heh.
Enter the twin-tail! The sound volume in The Mysterious Maid is about to get much louder. Oh? Natsume was also Lilith’s schoolmate, not just her maid colleague. Natsume also sent all the unopened letters to Lilith. Natsume has questions. Questions like why Lilith’s master is a child, and why she’s not receiving a salary. What is Lilith doing here? Suspicious! Yuuri won’t let Natsume take his Lilith away. He just openly confessed his love to the purple-eyed girl, but Natsume interrupted Lilith’s reaction. Ha! Here’s the top reason Natsume wants Lilith back at their mansion: Lilith will get to be with her! Lilith doesn’t want to, and thanks for coming. Uh oh! Love triangle! Natsume will prove that Yuuri doesn’t deserve Lilith!
Here comes a series of comedy sketches from The Mysterious Maid. Yuuri doesn’t know what “relativity” is, but Natsume doesn’t know either. That doesn’t matter because the issue should be what the master knows, not what the maid knows. Fufufu. Natsume doesn’t like the cute atmosphere between Lilith and Yuuri. Next, Natsume brings up an important question: can Yuuri manage money? Um, how about where does the money come from? Yuuri claimed to save part of his pocket money in a piggy bank. Who gave him the allowance? I’m shutting off my brain on that question. Oho! Yuuri flirts with Lilith through his piggy bank. He’s saving up to buy her a present! Natsume can’t compete with this no-filter kid. He’s way too mindful and courteous.
Oh, snap! Lilith called out Natsume for pestering her since they were kids. They met at the same school as Fujisaki! Lilith has her blind spots too. The mysterious maid thought she had a suspicious friend. Oh, good. Yuuri realized Natsume loved Lilith when he remembered the precocious Tsukasa’s words about expressing love. Lots of flashbacks in this episode. That’s the definition of a tsundere: “someone acting mean because they can’t say they love someone.” That Tsukasa knows her romance genre. No-filter Yuuri strikes again!
Hahaha! Lilith and Yuuri double-teamed the poor, tender heart of Natsume. What the heck? Flashbacks from within the same episode of The Mysterious Maid? That could be taking “show, don’t tell” too far. No-filter Yuuri is a force of nature on unsuspecting maids. Natsume claims adults need to hide their feelings, but Yuuri doesn’t buy it. He goes for open verbal expression to let people know his feelings. The guarded expression of vague feelings through unrelated actions is how you get annoying, never-ending romantic comedies. Har. Now Natsume sounds like Yuuri as her words of love for Lilith dribble out of her mouth. Those are kind words, but Lilith is still staying with Yuuri. D’oh! Saying words are useless!
Natsume didn’t convince the mysterious maid, Lilith, to return to her old job. But the twin-tail tsundere is still at Yuuri’s mansion, which makes me wonder if she also ran away without permission. What purpose will collecting workplace conditions have for Natsume? Of course. The worst part of Lilith’s job is trying to flirt with Yuuri and get brazen compliments and declarations of love in return. Natsume wants that affection from her master too!
We knew this already in The Mysterious Maid, but Yuuri doesn’t hold back! Point blank, he asked Natsume if she was even a maid. Otherwise, Natsume is just cosplaying. Hahaha! What were Natsume’s duties? They weren’t cooking, cleaning, or laundry! All right! Clumsy bucket time leads to girl talk and bubble baths. Hoho! The twin-tail, shark-toothed tsundere is also a clumsy maid! Ooh. Lilith is back in her previous maid uniform! Fufufu. Lilith practiced her “flirting” with Natsume back in the day. Just kidding!
Yeah, baby! Bath time and bubbles! Also, girl talk for The Mysterious Maid. Lilith admitted her uncertain feelings for Yuuri after she had heard his public declarations of love for her. Until that moment on the stairs, Yuuri had just pointed at her and called her “suspicious.” Oops. Lilith still has those blind spots. But Natsume knows what’s up. Hohoho. Steamy from all the girl talk!
Next time, wish upon a shooting star for more busty, dark-skinned fanservice!
