Stellar Blade: A Surefire Sensation
Before Stellar Blade’s release in April 2024, the world knew that developer SHIFT UP was cooking up a treat. Their previous mobile games, Destiny Child and Goddess of Victory: Nikke, had dominated the “ecchi gacha” marketplace. Stellar Blade, however, was their first console release, built for PS5, and funding and developers from Sony helped it along.
Within three months, Stellar Blade sold one million copies and, by the end of 2024, had generated a cool $43.2 million in revenue for SHIFT UP. While the level design and fluid action helped stick the landing, it’s the main character, Eve, who deserves most of the credit.
If you love SHIFT UP’s previous games, J-List stocks plenty of Goddess of Victory: Nikke products, including doujinshi and figures!

Eve: Purpose-Built For Stellar Blade Cosplay
Much of the internet’s response following Stellar Blade’s release focused on Eve’s abundant sex appeal. The gorgeous South Korean model, Shin Jae-eun, entered an enormous (and expensive) 3D scanner to create Eve’s base form. From there, developers changed the digital model to create Eve’s now-famous design.
In-game, Eve can acquire numerous outfits — called “Nano Suits” — throughout her journey across the post-apocalyptic future Earth. Players can unlock variants of these Nano Suit designs with subsequent New Game Plus playthroughs. With outfits varying from futuristically sexy to classically gorgeous, Stellar Blade cosplay offers something for everyone!

Crossovers, Mods, and the Future of Stellar Blade Cosplay
The success of Stellar Blade has catapulted SHIFT UP into the gaming public’s consciousness. After a public IPO made SHIFT UP’s CEO, Kim Hyung-Tae, a billionaire, Sony acquired the studio, making it the first Korean second-party studio. Now, the game makes its way to PC on June 11, and the modding scene is champing at the bit.
The modding scene on Nexus Mods exploded with only a demo available. Some of the current mods include custom tweaks for Unreal Engine, custom-made outfits, and new texture mods. Once the game releases on June 11, we’re expecting to see even more official and fan-made crossovers and outfits.
Stellar Blade‘s crossover with 2B from NieR: Automata is stunningly sexy, and you can find plenty of NieR: Automata products on J-List’s store.
