First Thoughts on Sawaranaide Kotesashi-kun.

Has cultured anime returned for the masses? I enjoy noticing that the anime industry is bringing back the ecchi genre. However, Sawaranaide Kotesashi-kun fails to break new ground. The setting contains two traditional scenarios, both of which promote sexy, fanservice scenes — the dormitory caretaker and physical therapist. The accidental harem king (a lone man in a building surrounded by nubile women) is fodder for many anime, like Mother of Goddess’ Dormitory and numerous doujins. And we saw a physical therapist lay his hands on monster girls from another world last year through Plus-Sized Elf. Sawaranaide Kotesashi-kun will fit better into the sports procedural genre, matching the fun How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?.

So, there’s nothing new for this short-form anime except that it keeps the streak going for at least one uncensored anime that the cultured can watch each anime season. Thank you, Sawaranaide Kotesashi-kun!
