One Room Third Season, Ep 6: Minori Will Keep Walking

You and Minori feel some stress about the bathhouse family business, but you trust you’ll always support each other.

Episode 6 – “Nanahashi Minori Will Keep Walking”

Hmm.

One Room doesn’t give us previews, so I was again surprised we came back to a girl from a previous season. This week we have Minori from the second season who wanted to take over the family-owned public bathhouse and “you” wanted to support her. That meant joining her family and all that implies. This week, One Room showed us that “you” did get your happily ever after, but the real world makes small businesses have ups and downs.

Minori isn’t as talkative as the other girls of One Room, so there was one scene that relied on more subtext than I’m used to. At this point in “your” relationship, “you” and Minori are in a stable relationship and even live together inside the family compound. If Grandpa and Papa accept “you” being with their precious little girl, “you” are family. With all this in mind, I was still not sure what Minori complained about in relation to her first shrine visit of the year and whether it was related to “your” public display in the foyer. Is there some Japanese euphemism for visiting a shrine in this context? Whatever the context was, One Room made Minori cutely embarrassed and made it clear that she had already made her first “visit to you” for the new year.

Heh.

Aha. It’s Minori Nanahashi from the second season of One Room. This is another epilogue episode like Natsuki from last week. Minori is still as shapely as ever. Ha! She doesn’t want to see “you” undress, but she wants to! Apparently, her concern is that “you’re” taking off your clothes in the reception area instead of just for her.

Oho. Kotatsu feet flirting fun! “You” and Minori are going strong as a couple. Nice. The same issues of how well the bathhouse is doing are here from the second season of One Room. “You” suggest praying for more business, which leads to Minori remembering to make a New Year’s shrine visit. What else hasn’t she done yet in the New Year? Seeing “you” naked is off the list.

Shrine visit. Still no ring on Minori’s finger. Hurry up, bro! Cute. Minori makes the snowman say the important things. Aw. “You” get along with Minori’s dad and grandpa well enough to talk about “your” relationship. That’s motivation to keep the bathhouse running for the next generation and preserve the one room “you” share. Aw, this makes me smile. Minori prayed that “you” would continue walking by her side and she noticed the tracks the two of “you” made in the snow. One Room has halfway answered her prayer for the bathhouse doing well and “you” continuing to walk together already.
