One artist we’ve loved for a long time has been Namaniku ATK, the famed hentai artist who has created great works for NitroPlus for years. And now he has a fabulous new artbook out, namanikATK Illustrations 2!
A character designer and “graphicker” (to use the Japanese term for a production digital artist), Namanuku ATK has been involved with pretty much every game Nitroplus has published in their 20+ years of making amazing games and anime, though he’s most famous for doing the lead work on the smash dark hit Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa. He’s also the character designer for the popular Hitsugi no Chaika anime, and has many great illustrations of those characters.
Namaniku ATK has also pioneered a new kind of fetishism, releasing a series of doujinshi featuring girls drawn while being viewed from behind, with their tight, full assess taking up the illustration, often with denim jeans or shorts. These works are well represented in the new artbook.
His name if properly pronounced Japanese-style is なまにく あったかい namaniku attakai, meaning “raw meat that’s warm inside.”
