Background of Kantoku’s Illustrations
Kantoku is a doujin and light novel illustrator and character designer who was born in 1985 in Hyogo Prefecture. He’s been involved with the Comiket doujin market since entering university, beginning a series called ５年目の放課後 (After School in the 5th Year). His pen name means “director” and he got the name from his university kouhai because he “acted like the director of films of a suspicious nature.”
In addition to his ongoing doujinshi works, he’s been involved in the creation of characters for several anime, including The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat, A Sister’s All You Need and One Room. The latter is a short-format POV series in which “we” are the main character, as all the scenes with the super-cute girls are seen from our point of view.
The new doujinshi gives us more fun art of his fictional younger sister Shizuku and adds a new character, Ichika, for us to enjoy. Ichika is a tsundere and very cute.
In addition to creating art, his hobbies are taking photographs, which he sometimes posts to his Twitter account, and getting the world to share his fetish for Tartan Check patterns.
