Shiori plays big sister to Shinozaki when he stays home sick from work. Did that make his fever worse?
Episode 2 — “Despite Appearances, I’m More the Big Sister Type”
Hmm.
How do you feel about “shippers?” That’s the shorthand for fans who insist characters in a show should be in a relationship. “Shipping” breaks off the last part of the word. My Tiny Senpai takes a shipper and drops him in the middle of the show! Chihiro Akina, the section manager for the main characters, enjoys watching romance bloom in front of him. Even if he must stalk and manipulate events in its favor. His antics remind me of Ami Asai and Itsuhito Sakaki nosing into Sakurai and Uzaki-chan’s love life in Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!. They had the luxury of watching the short-stack and tall hunk banter at work in a café. Mr. Manager has a rougher time in an office setting.
First, Shiori and Shinozaki don’t have years of prickly friendship like Uzaki-chan and Sakurai. Their banter will be respectful and timid. Second, lovey-dovey stuff in the office could lead to disciplinary action from Human Resources. Mr. Manager must get his favored pair into dating scenarios outside of work. Then shippers in the audience can imagine their own situations for missing the last train or warming up in a hot bath at home. Mr. Manager is our bro inside the show!
Heh.
Ah. The benefits of being smol. It’s easy to sneak up on oblivious kouhais! What a random question: bears or bunnies? Does Shinozaki’s tiny senpai have a sexy bear girl suit? For sure, I want to see her in a bunny girl suit! Oh. It was about cookies. Favoritism in the office — don’t tell the other guys!
I see My Tiny Senpai’s refreshing tactics for lucky lecher scenes. Dropped pen underneath a desk, and what happens next? Ouch. Bump the head and land in a man’s lap. Good morning! How much milk do you like in your coffee? The section manager saw something nice too! Chinatsu doesn’t appreciate naughty milk in her morning coffee.
Shinozaki continues working for tiny senpai head pats. Hoho. Mr. Manager is sneaky. He engineered an after-work date for the coworkers. And he’s stalking them! The dude has a weird hobby. But his fantasy life: he’s every one of us. We need the doujin plot of drunk coworkers enjoying each other at a love hotel every episode. Uh oh. Mr. Manager can’t decide which office romance plot is better. Age-gap romance or childhood friend reunion? Chinatsu wants no part of that contest. My Tiny Senpai has a “shipper” inside the story! Poor Mr. Manager. His love story characters aren’t cooperating with his scenario. The pair made progress and his night. He can die happy, but not yet!
The eye-catches show a disappointing night for Mr. Manager but a good morning for Shiori.
Blushing in the Rain
Well. Walking home in the rain fits both office and school romance stories. Shinozaki is the type who needs to fill silent pauses with awkward dialogue. Oh, good. We have the org chart for the company. Ha. Hahaha! Shiori had an umbrella the entire time! The tiny senpai just wanted to walk with Shinozaki for a bit. And he died of embarrassment. Oh. Got sick from embarrassment! Shinozaki’s wet shoulder should not be enough to have the dreaded hell-cold-flu strike him down, but standing in the rain suffering blushing shame might do it. Yay, Mr. Manager! He prodded Shiori into the sick-at-home visit scenario.
Right. Shiori was “just in the neighborhood.” Did we miss the sniffing-underwear scene? Ha! Shiori got found out! Her excuse for being nearby didn’t add up. Yup. Mr. Manager has a weird hobby.
Wear the Apron… Just the Apron.
Chinatsu keeps getting sucked into someone else’s love story. Chinatsu has good instincts for romantic scenes too. Her idea of an apron gift with a cheesy flirtatious line would work on Shiori. Har. Shinozaki only knows how to give snacks as gifts. Of course, Shiori likes the apron and wants to cook for Shinozaki again. Just get married already! Mr. Manager is so nosy!
My Tiny Senpai (Uchi no Kaisha no Chiisai Senpai no Hanashi) streams on Crunchyroll in Japanese audio and multiple language subtitles.
Doujin scenarios usually need just one of the situations in this My Tiny Senpai episode. How about adding a high school gyaru to the rainy-day apartment visit? Check out the translated uncensored Kuro Gyaru in the J-List store today!
So, what do you think of our bro in the show, Mr. Manager? Is he the perfect wingman? Chinatsu quickly dismissed his childhood reunion plot but helped Shinozaki buy a thank-you gift. Does Shinozaki have a wing woman too? We already know who the Best Man and Maid of Honor will be at a future wedding. Do you agree?
