Episode 7 – “Seduction Tights”

Huh? Oh, okay. I actually do have more to say.

Since the first episode, many fans have been patiently waiting for Yuiko-sensei’s exclusive episode. We got a teaser taste of her last week, but that was just to whet the appetite. This week? Appetite totally not sated! This is only a good first course. Please, chef, I want some more!

Besides the fact that Yuiko-sensei is gorgeous and sexy, one part of her character design is very satisfying to a particular subset of tights fans: those who like high heels. That combination of sheer hose and an arch and calf emphasizing shoe is very enticing. Of course, the artist Yom loves his bare toes peeking through that transparent material, but sometimes you need good packaging to satisfy the eye and enhance that excitement and anticipation.

The high school girls have mainly worn their penny loafers and uwabaki (indoor shoes), but adults have adult tastes, so thank goodness for Yuiko-sensei and her sensible high heels. Although I’m surprised the school lets her wear those kinds of shoes inside, there must be some policies making sure those fashionable shoes stay clean.

Those high heels also made me pay attention to the wonderful sound editing again. To hear those steps echoing during the episode, and feel that anticipation that something good was going to happen when they stopped, it was just an excellent use of sound effects.

One last issue I have to address is the question of whether Yuiko-sensei and Megane-kun actually did the deed. If one head fake at the end of the episode is good, why not two? Yom definitely has an opinion on this, and I tend to agree since we saw all those hungry looks from Yuiko-sensei. However, those short little scenes could have been part of a love-struck student’s detailed fantasy for his hot teacher. I also wonder if Yuiko-sensei has a reputation among the girls for favoring male students and being extra strict with the female students. Because we see such a small glimpse in only a few short minutes of anime, it’s all good fun to speculate and fill in the details of the Miru Tights world.
