A cute ninja girl wants more time off from having to perform her sacred duties. Shizuri Ideura from NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dosei Hajimemashita (For Some Reason I Started Living with a NEET Kunoichi) diligently works to protect her master and love interest Tsukasa Atsumi from demons. Although she loves protecting Tsukasa, she would rather spend that time playing video games and relaxing in his apartment. Rather than let her kunoichi duties interfere with her real passion, Shizuri might want to recruit some ninja girls to finish her work. Let’s suggest some potential recruits for her ninja girl team.
1. Shizuri Ideura (NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dosei Hajimemashita)
Shizuri’s destiny once placed her as the future leader of her village. Her strength and skills as a ninja girl surpassed all others. She left this idyllic life to become Tsukasa’s bodyguard. His unassuming salaryman life belies his warrior’s heritage. Tsukasa’s ancestors slew countless enemies, attracting numerous yoma to him. Protecting him from yoma and a jealous ninja girl is becoming a full-time job.
Kotatsu and Yakitomato released the original NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dosei Hajimemashita manga series on January 25th, 2020. ASCII Media Works has since published three volumes in No. 9 Comic.
Shizuri may seem like a slacker. In fact, she’s known to spend most of the day playing video games on her phone or a console. She’ll even spend hefty sums of money on anime figures. However, Shizuri is still an elite ninja girl with an eye for talent. There’s no doubt that she will recruit an equally elite team of kunoichi to fulfill her duties.
2. Yuzuriha (Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku)
Yuzuriha’s tragic history has made her value her own life above all others. She ran afoul of the authorities when she avenged herself against the Kai shinobi chief and his high-ranking allies. Yuzuriha chose to take on a mission that could kill her rather than face a certain execution. Her life-threatening adventures on Shinsenkyo Island alongside the Asaemon Senta and the near-immortal assassin Gabimaru helped her see the value of friends.
Yuji Kaku released the original Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku manga series between January 22nd, 2018, and January 25th, 2021. Shueisha published all thirteen volumes in Shonen Jump+. Studio MAPPA’s anime adaptation premiered on April 1st, 2023.
Yuzuriha would jump at the chance to easily strike down yoma in a modern city. She would delight in teaming up with powerful kunoichi to fight while enjoying modern advancements like televisions and microwaves. There would also be less chance that she could die since even a weak kunoichi could devastate the local yoma.
3. Ayame “Ayanosuke” Hayami (Yotoden)
Ayame is the sole survivor of a brutal attack on Kasumi Village. The demon ruler Oda Nobunaga ordered a three-headed demon to attack the village to eliminate a threat to his rule. Ayame now carries a kodachi, one of three special Demon Blades that can end Oda’s tyrannical rule over Japan. She began to call herself Ayanosuke as she set out with her allies to defeat Oda.
J.C.Staff’s original Yotoden anime OVA first premiered on May 21st, 1987.
Shizuri would welcome another demon slayer onto her team. Ayame has lost much to demons so she would be eager to ensure that no one else suffers as she did. She might also enjoy modern Japan’s many comforts, though she may not like seeing her team leader neglect her duties to enjoy them.
4. Tsunade (Naruto)
Tsunade is one of the three legendary ninja of Konohagakure. Though she has specialized in healing ninjutsu, she is still strong and fast enough to demolish any enemy in her path. She is a fair bit older than she looks, but her healing skills keep her looking stunning to this day. Tsunade resisted the call to become Hokage because her losses weighed heavily on her shoulders. Meeting Naruto changed her outlook on life.
Masashi Kishimoto released the original Naruto manga series between September 21st, 1999 and November 10th, 2014. Shueisha published all 72 volumes in Weekly Shonen Jump. Studio Pierrot’s anime adaptation premiered on October 3rd, 2002.
Tsunade is another ninja girl for Shizuri’s team. She is much older and wiser, traits Shizuri could lean on so she could play more video games. For her part, Tsunade would be happy to get Tsukasa to settle her debts in exchange for her services.
5. Mai Shiranui (Fatal Fury / Garo Densetsu )
Mai is a legendarily sexy ninja girl who fights other sexy enemies. She has mastered the kunoichi art of using feminine charms to disarm enemies. Her alluring appearance belies the peerless skills that she has used to defeat numerous enemies during her attempts at the King of Fighters tournaments. Unfortunately, she spends all of her time chasing after a guy to marry him. He’s clearly not worth it. What red-blooded man turns down a woman like Mai? He’s a damn fool.
Takashi Nishiyama created Fatal Fury while working at SNK. The first game was released for the Neo Geo on November 25th, 1991. Mai made her anime debut in Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture when it premiered on July 16th, 1994.
Mai is another ninja girl who can handle herself around demons. She’s also familiar with modern-day Japan which would let her help Ayame and Yuzuriha acclimate to the era. Mai wouldn’t mind Shizuri’s NEET lifestyle either. Her help wouldn’t come cheap though. Unlike Tsunade, she wouldn’t want money. Tsukasa may be forced to help Mai track Andy through the internet. It’s not his area of expertise, but Shizuri and Mai would insist.
