How many romantic relationships started out with a fatal collision? And how often was Truck-kun involved? On this Valentine’s Day, let’s celebrate the murderous motor vehicle cupid that is Truck-kun.
Of course, not every isekai journey starts with death. Sometimes, stepping through a glass-paneled izakaya door will take you to a new world. That’s what Isekai Izakaya had. But who remembers Isekai Izakaya for its meaningful romantic ties? We need passionate love and the will-they-won’t-they angst that only the high-impact fatal attraction of Truck-kun and his many incarnations can bring. We can thank Truck-kun — the Homicidal HGV— for the blossoming of these romances.

Kazuma Satō Met His Harem Thanks to Tractor-Kun
KonoSuba gave us a BDSM-loving paladin, a pyromaniac wizard, and a wet and wild water cleric. Our main character (MC) Kazuma wouldn’t have met any of them except for Tractor-Kun, which he mistook for a speeding truck. Truck-kun’s reputation joins hearts and stops them! Don’t count your fractures until they happen, Kazuma-kun!

Moped-kun and Speed Dating
In Salaryman Headhunted to Another World, Moped-kun sent MC Uchimura to isekai land using Newtonian physics. Or, in simple terms: vroom, splat! If death-by-annoying-road-legal-toy sounds unappealing, wait until you meet red-headed fire starter Urmander (voiced by Konomi Kohara), tanned ogre Orle (voiced by Chitose Morinaga), busty elf Sylphid (voiced by Yui Ishikawa), and cat girl Genome (voice by Nene Hieda).
There you go! Four reasons to become a statistic. That’s not bad. Moped-cupid shoots straight for the heart!

Clam-kun Says: “Eat Expired Seafood and Find Love!”
We should know Truck-kun can take many guises. Indeed, he’s the perfect assassin. After all, Zenshu killed off its MC with expired seafood. Natsuko Hirose (voiced by Anna Nagase) loves and devours A Tale of Perishing, her favorite childhood anime movie. She also swallows a spoiled clam and dies, which sends her into A Tale of Perishing. There, she meets Luke Braveheart — a character from the in-universe movie. Will they hit it off? If they do, remember that Tuck(food)-kun sowed those seeds.

Fatherly Love and Robotics
Did you ever consider that Truck-kun’s murderous reign began as early as 1963? At least!
After Dr. Tenma lost his son, Tobio, to a speeding Truck-kun, he created Astro Boy. The robot helped Tenma learn to be a better father, but what a terrible cost Tenma and Tobio paid! I would guess that, even in a J-List article, we can learn to appreciate life more and be nicer to people. Thank you, Truck-kun!
Rev Your Engines and Hearts
Are you a Toyota driver, or do you prefer driving your deus ex machina at high speeds? I hope you’ve got a good lawyer and third-party insurance if it’s the latter.
Do you have a favorite Truck-kun story? Which deadly incarnation of Truck-kun did we miss? Tell us in the comments, or Google will never know.
