Diablo and his company return to Faltra for a short visit. They find Klem enjoying biscuits, but the local mafia interrupts her. Diablo seeks to contain Klem’s revenge.
Episode 7 – “Little Demon Lord”
Hmm.
Diablo needs to relax and let himself have fun in Demon Lord Ω. Unfortunately, Takuma, the socially awkward player behind Diablo, has crippling social anxiety. His goal of role-playing an enigmatic and confident demon lord to hide his lack of confidence suffers the most when he’s alone with a lady with no pretext.
In past Demon Lord episodes, Diablo had an excuse to do something to a beautiful lady lying down in his bed. There was always some magic that he needed to do, like lifting a curse or healing someone. These situations are something to which Takuma the player had an analog in his video game. But Takuma is no “playa,” so he has no experience finding a beautiful woman alone in his room who wants to be alone with him.
That’s the situation Fanis presented to Diablo when she wanted to thank him for saving Zircon Tower City. Instead of accepting what could have been a delightful gift of a passionate night, he created an opening to escape, as if Fanis meant to trap him. I like seeing good things happen to the good guy, but Diablo is his own worst enemy. Demon Lord Ω makes its hero leave quest rewards behind! Diablo will need the combined strength of his harem to hold him down and make him receive “thanks” from an appreciative woman.
Heh.
Fireworks outside and Fanis wants to make fireworks inside! The comedy Demon Lord Ω wants to make here is how Diablo “escapes” from a beautiful woman devouring him. Just hand in your V-Card already! The issue of staying at Zircon Tower for a while is much different than staying at Zircon Tower until the morning, Diablo. Now that’s some nice “hospitality,” Fanis. Diablo needs to learn the concept of euphemisms. Fanis claims she’ll be the best Diablo ever had. She’ll be the only one he’s ever had.
Fanis made a tactical mistake. She gave Diablo the opening he needed when she said she’ll make sure he doesn’t want to leave her. Diablo can’t have that when he already promised to take Lumachina to the royal capital and confront the Church there. Quest reward interruptus. Fanis was more surprised he tried that “look out the window” excuse than the danger of a Fallen outside. Diablo escaped with his virginity intact but left behind his dignity. That’s the usual sequence of events in Demon Lord Ω.
That’s the ACTION scene for the episode. Will there be another one or just a regular action scene? Diablo and the others resupply and recoup back in Faltra, so it’s time to sit back for some relaxing comedy and mild violence. Lumachina wants to pray at the local church, but who will accompany her in case there are more corrupt priests and paladins over there? Shera volunteers but Rem worries that’s not enough support. Har. Demon Lord’s ally to all women, who’s also an ally to allies of all women, Emile can help! Will we see other characters from the first season appear? Shera and Rem can only cringe and grin. Sylvie wants Emile to stick to sword training, but if it’s for Diablo, she’ll allow him to escort Lumachina.
Fun! Edelgard took a part-time job at a bakery. She’s being active in supplying Klem with biscuits. Hahaha! Look at all the kiddy decorations of demon monsters! This bakery turned into Klem’s daycare. Nice. Edelgard’s outfit matches her dark skin well. What are they teaching Edelgard in this place? Oh. Mei the cat girl works here too. That explains things. Ah. Plot development. Faltra suffers from a downturn in tourism after people heard about the new Demon Lord appearing. Well, Zircon Tower City barely surviving a Fallen Army invasion affects that too. Hee. There’s Klem eating biscuits, na no da! Diablo has it right, “World peace rests on this shop’s biscuits!”
Klem’s mentions of the Hero, which Diablo doesn’t like hearing, sounds like foreshadowing. Will Demon Lord Ω make more connections between this past character and Diablo before the end of the season? Klem warns Diablo that there’s an odd presence in the east toward the direction of the royal capital that is not a demon lord. Thanks, Klem, for setting the stakes for the rest of Lumachina’s story.
Diablo’s a busy demon lord. All these powerful people in Faltra come to visit him. Diablo saw the Adventurers’ Guild Master and now here’s Celestine the Head of the Mage’s Association. Har. Celestine and Klem are “café buddies.” Here we go. Demon Lord Ω’s minor drama of the episode is a local gang demanding protection money from local businesses. The toughs wear Hawaiian shirts, shorts, and sandals. Uh oh. They broke Klem’s biscuit! Diablo will get even busier restraining Klem from destroying parts of the city as she exacts revenge on this criminal gang, the Measmos family.
Diablo dispatched this side quest quickly, with help from Klem’s crotch kick. Edelgard and Rose are nicely compatible as the murderous monotone sisters of Demon Lord Ω. Kinky. The doggy crime lord likes kitty ladies. Extinction averted. The Measmos boss will apologize and make amends to all the businesses he hurt.
Finally, back at their inn. Shera eats a sausage in her usual way. Of course. Even the Lord of Faltra visits Diablo on his first day back. Oh. He’s here for Klem. He can’t have demon lords running around his city, including those who look like children. Fun. The bakery owner defused this standoff. Klem calls herself “Demon Lord” for fun at the bakery! Sure, she does, na no da! Aw. Look at all the people who want to thank Klem personally. Uh, are those rappers the dudes who perform the opening theme? Yes, they are!
Time to leave again. A suspicious dude in the cathedral appears to have chained up a demonic monster. That’s not a holy deed a holy man would do.
Next time, Alicia makes an appearance for busty megane fans everywhere and the girls wear wedding dresses!
Artist Asanagi makes Emile’s dream come true in the end card.
