We could all do with saving a few dollars in these trying times, and luckily, the J-List anime figure sale has been extended until October 21st! Scrolling through all this PVC perfection made us cosplay-enthusiasts wonder: what’s better? A plastic waifu you can own, or a real one you can’t? Thus, this incredibly shameless promotional post was born, comparing the best anime figures on sale and the cosplay that accompanies them!
Join us today on the J-List blog as we compare the best of our current anime figure sale with the cosplay it inspires!
Great news: J-List has started a new sale, giving you 18% off all DVDs, Blu-rays, and Nintendo Switch games. That means an instant 18% off all imported anime Blu-rays, sexy live-action JAV titles, hentai anime, and region-free anime games for your Nintendo Switch! Browse all sale products now!
Anime Cosplay: Movable Joints Now Included
Over here on the cosplay column, we’re usually discussing the transformation of 2D waifus into the third dimension. From professional models to amateur cosplayers, there’s a broad spectrum of ability, appeal, and (considering most of what we post is ero cosplay), raw sexual charm.
One of the most apparent differences between an anime figure and cosplay is the interplay of photography and posing. Sure, at the start of their cosplaying journey, some models are a little stiff and shy in front of the camera. However, in the hands of a professional (and with a great set, too), cosplay can take your waifu dream to the next level!

J-List Anime Figure Sale: Offsetting Tariffs
Now, we’re sitting here writing this with several thousand dollars’ worth of anime figures protected in a glass-door Billy bookcase (IKEA, please sponsor me). A sale like J-List’s is the perfect time to purchase that 1/7 you’ve had your eye on for a while.
Some of our favorite figures to collect are the ones that really step out of the comfort zone to take the character to the next level. Sure, it’s fun to have an “anime-accurate” figure, but you can only own one of those. This writer has an entire shelf dedicated to different Rem figures, and a growing one of Atelier Ryza and KonoSuba!
Here are some anime figure cosplays that (excuse the pun) break the mold with their designs!

Anime Figures Are Modern Marble Statues: An Essay
Now for the part you’ve all been waiting for — the sexiest battle of collectible vs. cosplay! Sure, a cosplay pic is enjoyable to look at for a few minutes (or less, we’re not judging), but an anime figure is for life. Multiple lives, really, considering how long plastic takes to break down in the environment.
When we die, we want to be buried like a Pharaoh with all our anime figures. In thousands of years, archaeologists will dig up our graves, find perfectly preserved figures of ravishing women, and make misguided claims about them being fertility idols or minor gods.
You know what? We’re perfectly fine with some of these excellent waifus being our own private goddesses!

Use Your Level 999 Merchant Skill on These Figures
We’re almost out of time and ways to convince you to part with your hard-earned money. This might be a good time to remind readers that J-List stocks a wide selection of cosplay JAV, which elevates our ero cosplay posts to the next level! You can also take a look at our cosplay photobooks, including recent posts featuring cosplay goddess HaneAme.
Don’t forget that the current sale finishes on October 21st, so whether you’re adding to your collection of JAV DVDs or finding shelf space for more figures, check out the sale before time runs out! Here are our last batch of anime figure cosplays for you to peruse:
