In celebration of Japanese anime’s 100th anniversary, Japan’s national public broadcasting organisation, NHK, has been holding a campaign titled “Nippon Anime 100” since last December and has been accepting online votes to determine the best anime 100 and the best anime song 100. Online votes will be accepted until March 31, 2017, then the final results will be revealed on a special TV program scheduled to air on NHK BS Premium on May 3, 2017.
The votes for the best anime song 100 have been on-going since December 12, 2016 and will be accepted until February 10, 2017. The results will also be revealed on a special TV program titled “Countdown live Anisong (Anime song) best 100!” hosted by Shoko Nakagawa (Mary from Pokemon XY) and Kendo Kobayashi (Dice from One Piece Film Gold) which is scheduled to air on NHK BS Premium on February 18, 2017.
