Mixx garden, a restaurant in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro entertainment district, has teamed up with the makers of popular ship girl mobile game Azur Lane to run an “Iron Blood Café” for the month of January.
The Iron Bloods stand-in for Nazi Germany’s Kriegsmarine in Azur Lane’s world of moe anthropomorphized WWII warships, so the food on offer has a German tint to it. Each dish is also associated with one of the faction’s ship girls. I’ve taken the liberty of translating the menu for you:
The food comes served on plates featuring super deformed depictions of your favorite fraulein dressed up as a waitress serving your meal (and some of them not looking too happy about it).
In addition to the themed food, mixx garden is also selling exclusive merchandise featuring the Iron Bloods in their waitress uniforms. Tin badges, acrylic keychains, wall scrolls, and a phone case that captures the edgy Teutonic theme of the Iron Bloods.
Personally, I could go for a taste of Prinz Eugen’s pudding, if you know what I mean.
The collaboration event with mixx garden runs through January 31st. You can make reservations on their website or by phone. Mixx garden’s Twitter gives regular updates on availability.
Another Ikebukuro outfit, Gz Café, had a Royal Navy-themed Azur Lane café collaboration in July.
