J-List wants to do our part to help us all get through the crisis of COVID-19, and one idea we came up with was to make official J-List Otaku Masks that promote social distancing, which we have in stock on the site now!

There are three masks in the set: a blue shimapan mask (like Mio from K-On!), a green shimapan mask (classic Hatsune Miku style), and a parody SUGOI DEKAI design for fans of Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! These masks will not only help protect you and others, they’ll encourage any “normies” and non-otaku to stay as far from you as possible, which not actually being embarrassing.

The masks are made of colorful fabric similar to dakimakura are made from. They’re fully washable, so you can always have a fresh and clean mask one ready for the next day. We especially enjoy how the elastic bands that go around the ears are large and soft, not strings that dig into your ears, making them comfortable to wear for a long time.

For maximum protection and for higher-risk individuals, the manufacturer of the masks (Tamatoys) recommends you use these masks as an outer mask, with a standard paper mask underneath, though this is optional depending on your situation.

The masks are made of polyester 82%, polyurethane 18%, and are manufactured in China.
