Our 12 Waifus of Christmas rides along to day four! The weather is getting colder, but these girls are wearing less and less, as evidenced by our first, second, and third Santa girls. We moved from thicc demons with red hair, then onto sexy ninja girls, and finally martial artists who could be Lady Santa or one of her presents. Today, we celebrate a royal knight and her best tsundere friend/master, depending on the route. Cute anime girls should get a pass to celebrate Christmas, even during the Holy Grail Wars.
The Fourth Santa Girls: Saber and Rin Tohsaka (Fate/stay night)
The Type-Moon girls are famous for their cosplaying habits. True to form, there are even Santa girl variants who warm up any chilly season. Their role or position doesn’t much matter, either. The Heroic Spirit Saber is happy to dress up in a cute Santa suit alongside the idol mage Rin. Let’s assume there’s in the Good Route where Rin made Saber her servant, and they’re both hanging out with Shiro. The stuffed Shiro deer doll is good enough evidence for me.
Which Saber?
Fans of the Fate series know that “Saber” is merely a title held by multiple, different Santa girls. We here at J-List won’t just give you one Saber to ogle this Christmas.
Saber Alter — the evil version of Saber — can also get into the holiday spirit. The Chaldea Security Organization from the Fate Grand/Order timeline has observed a phenomenon wherein Servants summoned with the Christmas Grail gain Santa’s traits. Saber Santa reveres Santa Claus and has decided to deliver presents to good children everywhere. She’s still not as kind as her mainline pure counterpart but is not as evil as before. This Saber still describes herself as the “Evil Santa Claus that cleaves through the breath-freezing winter.”
Finally, there’s the Saber of Rome, Nero Claudius. Her time as a Santa girl is legendary even outside the Type-Moon fandom. Really, who can forget “Padoru, Padoru?” This famous Padoru scene is in the PSP game Fate/Extra.
Wada Arco — the illustrator who brought Nero to life — also illustrated the legendary VTuber Ouro Kronii. The stars aligned, and Kronii gave a mighty “Padoru, Padoru” performance. Don’t listen with headphones, though.
How do you think these two girls cut it as Santa girls? Do you think their magic could help Santa on his midnight ride? Who else would you want to see descending your chimney on Christmas? Let us know in the comments below.
