Day eight of J-List’s 12 Waifus of Christmas has a unique sort of Santa girl: a magical girl that Christmas itself powers. Our fine array of Santa girls has thus far been cute cosplayers. Today, we have a genuine girl with Santa magic. She spends her magical holiday evening with a guy named Santa. He was born on Christmas, and his parents must have had a sense of humor. Don’t worry about him because his new waifu is on her way.
The Eighth Santa Girl: Mai (Itsudatte My Santa!)
Mai is a student at the Santa Claus Academy. Her new mission is to give a boy named Santa a great Christmas evening. Mai hopes to reignite his Christmas spirit and inspire his belief in Santa Claus. She only has two things working against her: an especially low reserve of Christmas magic and Santa’s troubling home life.
Mai’s initial attempts to cheer Santa up with magic tricks only bewilder him. Mai’s bright and cheery attitude endears her to Santa, but his faith is no less restored than when she first met him. Their trip around a festive area ends when Mai takes on a group of yakuza members. This leads to the obligatory ecchi shower scene. Santa’s Christmas spirit and faith in the other Santa manifest when he kisses Mai.
Yes, Mai is a magical Santa girl. She comes with her own cultured transformation sequence and everything. Mai’s new magic reserve not only allows her to perform her Santa girl duties.
Afterward, Mai gently teases him about just kissing her. She then has her reindeer toss him onto the back of her sleigh. Santa girls should deliver presents to all the good little kids in their area. They eventually join a large group of other Santa girls. The Santa Claus Academy clearly has the best dress code.
