Welcome back to Night City, Edgerunners! It’s still a lawless den of scum, villainy, and some of the best ruthless waifus. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II will feature a new cast of characters, from the aforementioned ruthless waifu (with no mouth?) to the broken legend trying to crawl back from the brink. Personally, I’d like to see some cameos. We’ll see these legends take to the mean, chrome streets when this anime series returns sometime in Fall 2026.

Mike Pondsmith released the original Cyberpunk tabletop role-playing game sometime in 1988. CD Projekt Red’s video game adaptation, developed for PC and consoles, was published on December 10th, 2020. Studio Trigger’s anime adaptation premiered on September 13th, 2022.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II Cast
Three of our new chrome-wielding warriors are as follows:

- Talia Yang — Koki Uchiyama (Taiki Himekawa from Oshi no Ko). Talia grew up in a corpo environment and hardened under the Maelstrom gang’s influences.
- Weak Kingsley — Kentaro Tone (Kasamatsu Racecourse Commentator from Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray). Weak was once a legendary cyberpunk known as King.
- Roman Carax — Momoka Terasawa (Yuzu Hanaoka from Blue Archive: Beautiful Day Dreamer). Roman is a cinephile who hopes to revive movies in Night City.
Studio Trigger maintains a website and a Twitter (X) account to promote Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II. You can find more information about the series and the key visuals at those sites.

New Legends Rise in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II
David Martinez has died, and in another time and place, another legend is rising from the ashes. King was once a legendary cyberpunk known far and wide. However, a certain incident stripped him both of his reputation and most of his cyberware, thereafter leaving him Weak in both name and power. His search for purpose sees him cross paths with other odd characters with their own unique circumstances.

Talia Yang fell from grace of her own will. She was born into the heights of the corpo side of Night City, only to join the vicious, chrome-obsessed Maelstrom gang. On the opposite side, the nomad netrunner D prowls the streets of Night City to find the one who wiped out his entire clan. D’s search will lead him to uncover corpo secrets not meant to see daylight. Rounding out their group is someone who looks innocent: the cinephile Roman Carax, who prefers watching movies over braindancing.
