The lovely waifus of Cyberpunk Edgerunners are coming to invade Solaris-3! Lucy and Rebecca have shown up at Startorch Academy, the best school in Lahai-Roi. We don’t yet know why they’re there, but we shouldn’t question it. Lucy and Rebecca are back, and they’re going to be playable characters in Wuthering Waves. Rebecca will be free to claim, while Lucy will need to be drawn from the gacha banner. There’s no announced release date for when these lovely ladies light up the school other than “soon.”

Kuro Games released the free-to-play gacha game Wuthering Waves (Míng Cháo) on May 22nd, 2024, for PC and mobile platforms. The PlayStation 5 version was released on January 2nd, 2025. Studio Trigger released the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime series on September 13th, 2022.
Wuthering Waves x Cyberpunk Edgerunners Cast
The three leaders of this collaborative effort are as follows:
- Lucyna “Lucy” Kushinada — Aoi Yuki (Tsuyu Asui “Froppy” from My Hero Academia). Lucy is an edgerunner who longs for freedom.
- Rebecca — Tomoyo Kurosawa (Edel from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End). Rebecca is an edgerunner of incredible strength.
- Rover (Female) — Minami Tanaka (Nitocris, Valkyrie Ortlinde from Fate/Grand Order), Rover (Male) — Toshiki Masuda (Eijiro Kirishima / Red Riot from My Hero Academia). Rover is an amnesiac Resonator with multiple branches of power.

The Wuthering Waves x Cyberpunk Edgerunners Collab Resonates
Through means unknown, Lucy and Rebecca have found themselves on Solaris-3, a parallel world inhabited by monsters and people with magical abilities. It seems they’ve taken up residence in Startorch Academy, an idyllic school situated in Lahai-Roi. As for how Lucy returned from the Moon when Solaris-3’s spaceflight program was destroyed by the spread of the Etheric Sea, or how Rebecca is there, remains unknown.
Regardless, the two best edgerunners have made a home at the Academy. It seems they’ve even made friends with the legendary Rover and his/her allies. Yeah, they show both male and female Rovers. Rebecca and Lucy join them in battle and show the skills that made them real threats back in their own world. By the end of it, the announcer asks which Moon Lucy is really interested in, and shows David Martinez waking up on the Moon.
