But I Maintain All the Software! is getting a TV anime adaptation! The publisher’s announcement didn’t reveal the upcoming anime’s air date, voice cast, or production committee. They really gave us the “just the tip” treatment.

Fired? But I Maintain All the Software! — Deets!
Yuki Kashirome originally published Fired? But I Maintain All the Software! (E, Shanai Shisutemu Subete Wanope Shiteiru Watashi o Kaiko desu ka?) on Shosetsuka ni Naro. In its web-novel phase, the story ran from November to December 2020. An epilogue came afterward in July 2022. Publisher Shufu to Seikatsu Sha acquired the story in 2021 and released it under its PASH! Books imprint with illustrations by Icchi. The story currently has four volumes. Io adapted Fired? But I Maintain All the Software!, into a Comic PASH! manga in August 2022. J-Novel Club releases both the manga and the light novel in English.
Synopsis
Ai Sato lived an otaku’s dream. She was the sole person in her department, and she could cosplay at work! But when her company switched CEOs, her weeb ways caught up with her, and the new management let her go. Apparently, they frown upon dressing up as a succubus at work. Alas, Ai now hugs unemployment, depression, and poverty. But when her job hunt leads her to encounter an old friend, a coding career follows! But it’s more than lines of code for Ai. Alongside teaching tech to newbies, she has to teach them confidence and work ethic, too!
