The production committee for the second season of Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku has released a new trailer and character visual ahead of the show’s January 2026 premiere. Three additional cast members were announced.

Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku Season 2 Details
Director Kaori Makita, scriptwriter Akira Kindaichi, and character designer Akitsugu Hisagi are all returning to work on the new season. Yoshika Dewa will also reprise their role as the series’ music composer. MAPPA will once again handle the animation.

Yuji Kaku is the creator of the Hell’s Paradise manga, which he both wrote and illustrated. Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ serialized the series online from January 2018 to January 2021. An English version was released through Shueisha’s Manga Plus platform. In North America, Viz Media publishes both the print and digital editions of the manga.
Hell’s Paradise follows Gabimaru the Hollow, a proficient ninja assassin with superhuman resilience. Yet, despite his ungodly skills, Gabimaru is captured during a botched assassination attempt and sentenced to death. Realizing that he’s led a repulsive life, Gabimaru accepts his punishment. But despite an executioner’s various attempts on his life, he survives. Witnessing this grotesque spectacle, a newbie member of the executioner clan, Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, proposes another solution. They can use Gabimaru’s skills and durability to their advantage. If he can retrieve the elixir of life from the mystical island of Shinsenkyo, he’ll receive a pardon.
