It’s been a while since we last discussed As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World (Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru). It’s an isekai series where the only cheat ability is “appraisal,” which just lets our protagonist determine certain stats. This is still a step up from his prior life. We’ll determine how he does when the series premieres in April 2024. Until then, the new trailer gives us a cute fiancée to appraise.
Miraijin A first posted his Reincarnated Aristocrat novel to the user-generated website Shosetsuka ni Naro on October 31st, 2019. Kodansha obtained the publishing rights and hired the artist Jimmy to adapt the series to light novel format. Five volumes have been published since this run began on July 2nd, 2020.
Our isekai protagonist and two Best Girl candidates are as follows:
- Ars Louvent — Natsumi Fujiwara (Damian Desmond in Spy x Family). Ars was a Japanese businessman in his previous life. He died a tragic death following an otherwise listless life. He plans to avert catastrophe in his new life.
- Lysia Plaid — Kana Hanazawa (Mitsuri Kanroji in Demon Slayer). Ars’s fiancée with a high ambition stat. Ars is wary of her at first, but she proves to be loyal by assisting him with her abilities.
- Charlotte Wraith — Narumi Kaho (Gourai in Frame Arms Girl). One of the orphans Ars adopted to aid in his plans. She is a remarkably powerful magician, and absolutely loyal to Ars.

Reborn to Appraise in Another World
Reincarnated Aristocrat is another one of those very descriptive titles. Ars Louvent was a regular Japanese salaryman with average physical and mental abilities. His unfulfilled life came to an abrupt end when he suffered a heart attack at age 35. His second chance at living a good life came when he was reborn into another world. Ars is the heir to the minor noble Louvent family of the Summerforth Empire. He lacks the physical or magical cheat skills of your typical isekai anime, though. However, he does have the Appraisal skill, which allows him to identify the quality of people and objects. He can see their inherent skills and traits.
The Summerforth Empire is on the precipice of disaster. The government is rife with corruption, and the citizens are primed for revolt. What’s more, the noble families of the Empire are arming themselves in anticipation for war. Ars intends to prepare his own lands by recruiting the most powerful people he can. Using his ability, he can find the right people for the right jobs, including a supreme swordsman, a grand magician, and a brilliant tactician.
