Episode 9 – “A Coworker Who’s Obviously Asleep”

It’s time to ask the uncomfortable question in Ganbare Doukichan, “Is Doukichan bisexual?” She could be a “drunkisexual.” That’s my term for someone who becomes amorous with anyone within touching distance when they feel the buzz of alcohol. Since the beginning of the season, we’ve seen Doukichan dream about herself with Doukikun after she’s fallen asleep. However, when she gets blackout drunk, she fantasizes about other women getting it on with Doukikun. Thanks to Doukichan’s drunkisexual dreams, Ganbare Doukichan has blessed the audience with sexy scenes of Kouhaichan and Senpai-san in various states of undress. Oh, Doukichan? Please, have another drink. She might not have refused Kouhaichan’s morning advances as they lay naked in bed.

Now, did Senpai-san get Doukikun naked in bed? I loved that scene in the taxi where an incapacitated Doukikun rests his head in Senpai-san’s lap. I’ll ignore how anatomically difficult this would be for someone’s legs in a car’s bench seat just so Ganbare Doukichan can hide Doukikun’s face. Senpai-san’s vocal line and the way she stroked Doukikun’s hair conveyed so much history, affection, and wistfulness in a few seconds. Senpai-san confirmed for the audience how much Doukikun already likes Doukichan. She is his type! So, Senpai-san’s familiarity with Doukikun leads me to conclude that she made sure he got home safely and nothing more. However, she has enough pride in herself not to go easy on Doukichan. She needs to earn her place as Doukikun’s girlfriend by stepping up her assertiveness. I agree!

Aw. Doukichan is still on cloud nine from her quick meeting with Doukikun. She gave him passing grades for taking the initiative. Kouhaichan doesn’t like Doukichan’s starry-eyed expression. And then they drink. A lot! Kouhaichan takes Doukichan home, and Senpai-san shares a taxi with Doukikun. He gets the best lap pillow in Ganbare Doukichan so far. It would be even better if he remembered it. Ooh. Senpai-san knows he has feelings for Doukichan! I can feel the weight of history and past affection from the tone of her voice.

Ah. Doukichan is dreaming of sexy ladies again. Wow! Who could resist Senpai-san popping a belt buckle like that? Doukichan’s nightmares in Ganbare Doukichan are a horny teenager’s dreams come true. Ha! Doukichan did not wake up alone! Who’s in her bed? Could it be Doukikun? She hopes it is. Doukichan wishes she could remember! Pull back the covers and…

Yeah! My wish came true! Doukichan’s, not so much. Kouhaichan was too tired even to finish pulling off her pantyhose. Aw. Doukikun is so attentive. Boo! The answer is as funny as it is believable. Kouhaichan tried to help Doukichan avoid a terrible hangover, then she ended up in the drunk splash zone. Thankfully, it was just water. Kouhaichan giggles at the memory of what happened next. I’m sure there was a lot of touching “this and that” before they ended up under the covers in the nude. Doukichan may only dream about sexy girls when she’s drunk, but Kouhaichan likes that yuri “skinship.” Ganbare, Kouhaichan!
