One reason we watch anime is because we can feel connected to the characters and situations they find themselves in. On the other hand, there are plenty of things we see in anime that seem to be the exact opposite of our own experiences, almost to the point that it becomes comical. I asked J-List customers to share something a member of the opposite sex hasn’t said to them using the medium of anime, and here’s what we came up with!
Show Us Something a Romantic Partner Has Not Said To You…Through Anime!
I’ve certainly never had a girl say this to me, though I’d love to.
Another thing few of us have heard from a girl, outside of anime.
There’s something about the cognitive dissonance that comes from a girl willingly lifting her skirt to show you her panties, though she’s got a disgusted look on her face. Why is she showing them to you? Does her father owe your father money? Do we have some kind of leverage against her that makes or do whatever we ask? I apparently think about things like this too much.

Having a girl literally throw her clothes off is something else most of us haven’t experienced.
On the other hand, having a girl treat me like potential boyfriend material while I was completely oblivious is an experience I have had, multiple times! It’s great the way anime characters can be so relatable sometimes.
