If you’re one of the many people working from home currently, you’re most likely dreading your daily or weekly telemeetings, especially when you have to keep your audio and video on. Whether you’re worried about people judging your home from what they see on screen, your family keeps interrupting your meetings, or if you’re just not feeling it that day, one way people are livening up their meetings is through backgrounds. Now available in everything from regular settings to popular memes, backgrounds are a good way to keep your privacy and liven up your meetings.
Even Shonen Jump has hopped on the background bandwagon through their official Twitter account, releasing backgrounds meant for the popular video communications app Zoom. Currently, the official backgrounds place you in meetings with One Piece‘s World Government Levely, Naruto’s Akatsuki, and Bleach’s Espada.
While we don’t know if these are all of the official Zoom backgrounds Shonen Jump’s Twitter plans to release, it’d be nice to see something more hero-centric next time. Of course, there’s nothing stopping anyone from making their own as all you have to do is upload the picture of your choice to the app. The app also recommends the use of a green screen for the best effect, but it’s not required.
I suppose it’s only a matter of time before J-List releases their own Zoom backgrounds, but maybe those are best kept for after work hours. Until then, we’ve got plenty of other ways to keep you occupied while you work from home, including visual novels, imported Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC games, and a range of very well-cushioned mousepads to keep you from straining your wrists from all that computer use.
