Most people reading this will likely be anime fans with a long list of 2D girls they’ve fallen in love with over the years…but there are plenty of cute characters in Western anime, too. We asked J-List customers to share their first animated crush, outside of anime, and we got a ton of responses!
Who Was Your First Animated Crush (Outside of Anime)? J-List Customers Respond!
All of us remember that funny feeling we got in our stomachs when a certain cute character came on screen in some cartoon we were watching. Perhaps it was a particularly well-animated Disney princess, or an extra-cute character in the after-school cartoons we were watching. We asked J-List’s customers of culture to share their first (non-anime) animated crush with us, and this is the list we got!
I was a big fan of these early American catgirls.
How could anyone not fall in love with Harley Quinn??
I will forever be a fan of Daphne Blake from Scooby Doo.
Or you could go with the other Daphne, the princess from the Dragon’s Lair game.
Cheetara from Thundercats had me under her spell.
Oh, I may have been influenced by a Disney Princess or two…
I suspect that Jasmine is the origin of my preference for women with tan skin and dark hair.
I’ve always had a huge crush on Kitty Pryde, aka Shadow Cat from X-Men.
Katara was my first animated crush. Just look at her!
I think a lot about horsing around on the bed with Harley Quinn.
It was Kim Possible for me.
My childhood animated crush is Fionna The Human from Adventure Time.
I always loved Rogue from the ’90s X-Men series.
Of course, April O’Neil from TMNT. How could anyone resist those eyes of hers?
I dunno, Jessica Rabbit?
I had a thing for Gadget Hackwrench from Chip and Dale.
