When we founded J-List 26 years ago, one of the first hit products we had were anime calendars, as our customers snapped up the rare and wonderful poster-sized calendars from Japan. If you follow J-List’s calendar offerings each year, you’ll know that there are generally three waves posted to the site: our traditional and photo calendars, the main bulk of anime and nude JAV calendars, and finally artist calendars by Japan’s most famous illustrators. This year publisher delays have shortened the window to preorder the artist calendars, so you only have until November 28 to get your preorders in!
Only Two Weeks to Preorder 2023 Artist Calendars from Japan!
A quick note about these artist calendars. Like all the anime calendars we offer, they’re gorgeous, printed on thick, glossy poster-sized sheets. While the bulk of standard anime calendars are 7 pages (so you get a cover sheet and six calendar pages, with two months displayed on each, these artist calendars are even better because they have 13 pages (a cover sheet and a different page and illustration for each month). Sadly we can’t show the inside pages ahead of time (as we don’t have the calendars on hand yet), so please trust that each month’s illustration is as gorgeous as the covers!
Kantoku. First and foremost is one of our favorite anime artists, Kantoku, whose characters are so beautiful it’s impossible to not fall in love with them. Preorder this calendar here.
What’s the most gorgeous art book ever published by J18 Publishing? The boxed Kantoku artbook set. See details in this blog post!
Coffee Kizoku. Another artist active in illustration magazines and the doujin world is Coffee Kizoku, who takes his pen name from a chain of coffee shops around Japan. His female characters are always great to look at. Order yours here.
Hiten. Light novel illustrator and character designer Hiten has many fans across the Internet, and his 2023 anime calendar is super gorgeous. Grab this calendar here!
