The Magia Magenta Figure Is a Sign of the Times
I grew up in a deeply religious family and community. Unfortunately for me, I was a “filthy heathen” who enjoyed violent-sounding music, casual sexual encounters, and freedom from religion. Safe to say, my teenage years were a misery and a half because of that. Yet, I have never regretted my younger choices and loves. In fact, those years turned me into a monster advocate for freedom of expression and creativity. In my book, sexuality is not something that anyone should confine to the halls of intimacy. It’s something to be enjoyed and talked about as casually as one would praise a good meal. But I always knew most people would disagree with that statement.
When Gushing Over Magical Girls aired earlier this year, and I saw Magia Baiser’s face on every second Facebook post, it moved me to tears. To see an ecchi show, especially one so sexually inappropriate, to receive praise and celebration was a comfort, unlike few others. So, to show my appreciation for that, I’ve bought a lot of Maho Ako stuff, and I’ll buy this Magia Magenta figure. And you should definitely add it to your collection, even if you’re not a fan of Maho Ako. Always remember that sexual content is the first line of defense when it comes to entertainment.
