We finally have a premiere window for Hikaru’s first date! He’s a master of the poison arts, and he does a fine job of executing his missions. His oddly youthful grandmother, Kirara, now demands a proper heir to their family. Hikaru teams up with a cross-dressing con artist to master the fine art of dating with the intention of marriage. We’ll see how he fares when Marriagetoxin (stylized as MARRIAGETOXIN) premieres sometime in April 2026.
Joumyaku and Mizuki Yoda released the original Marriagetoxin manga series on April 20th, 2022. Shueisha has since published fifteen volumes in Shonen Jump+.
Marriagetoxin Cast
The assassin, his new marriage coach, and two potential marriage partners are as follows:
- Hikaru Gero — Haruki Ishiya (Masato Oosuki from Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?). Hikaru is a ruthless master assassin who uses poison to kill his targets.
- Mei Kinosaki — Shion Wakayama (Henao Jazz from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury). Mei is a scam artist who crossdresses to seduce and rob his targets.
- Kyoko Himekawa — Anna Nagase (Boxers, Isabella from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners). Kyoko is an art thief who returns stolen artifacts to their owners.
- Kimie Arashiyama — Hinano Shirahama (Sara Haizaki from Hotel Inhumans). Kimie is a Hamster Master, a branch of the Beast Clan that uses small rodents in their missions.

Marriagetoxin, from Assassin Target to Romance Coach
Hikaru Gero is the heir of the Poison Clan, one of the Five Great Families of assassins. He is a peerless master assassin who can kill anyone with poison. However, his love life is as dead as his targets. His grandmother’s desire for a great-grandchild has put his lesbian sister in a difficult position. Hikaru moves quickly to help her by saving his recent assassination target in exchange for love lessons. The crossdressing con artist Mei Kinosaki plans to teach him everything he knows.
While the old trailer only shows how Hikaru and Mei met, the new trailer shows more of Hikaru’s cool side. His poison can somehow ignite and cut an SUV clean in half. Another scene depicts a battle against Shizuku Ushio, a water master and a potential marriage candidate. Hikaru is seen saving Kyoko Himekawa, a thief who steals from other thieves. Most importantly, we get a clear view of the pink-haired beauty Kimie Arashiyama. Who knew a series about deadly assassins could have so many waifus, even if one of them is a trap?
